Salva d'ore

Salva d'ore is an interior design project for a restaurant in Montenegro, featuring custom bar counter and lighting installations. The title references gold—both a precious metal and a metaphor for the enduring value of refined craftsmanship and hospitality. The project exemplifies the application of sculptural thinking to functional design, where every element serves both aesthetic and practical purposes.

The work centers on a bespoke bar counter and custom lighting fixtures designed and fabricated to define the restaurant's visual identity. The execution was intensive and technically demanding, requiring precise coordination among multiple craftspeople including Ivan Nechaev, Daniil Gumennikov, Nikita Tkachenko, Nikolay Nechaev, Alexey Evdokimov, and Matvey Vavaev. Each component was conceived as part of a unified design language that elevates the dining experience.

The installation demonstrates how sculptural principles can transform a functional space into a destination. Through carefully considered proportions, materiality, and spatial relationships, the bar counter and lighting become more than utilitarian elements—they establish atmosphere and convey the restaurant's values. The result is an environment where design and craft merge to create an immersive hospitality experience.
